In September FeeSynergy teamed up with FYI and Fusesign to host a very successful Future Fit Firms event in NZ. Where our Christchurch based clients enjoyed a delicious lunch and the very thought provoking open honest conversations around the best practices to help future proof their firms. Thanks goes out to Dorian from Baker Tilly Staples Rodway Christchurch and Anna from Oxford Edge for joining us on the discussion panel, sharing their insights of each of their firms journey to explore the best way forward and what they have implemented and the benefits of each system. This event was very much enjoyed by all who attended and we look forward to more Future Fit Firms events around the country in 2027.
Alison and Karley our Regional Managers across Australia and New Zealand team up to bring you highlights straight from the horses mouth.
Karley – I’m seeing a rise in requests to move towards Direct Debits as a systemised payment option.
Alison – We’re seeing increased interest in our Collect platform, with more demonstrations being scheduled as businesses look for ways to navigate the current economic pressures and improve their debt collection processes.
Karley – During our NZ health checks, over the last month, I have been asked for further information and indepth demos around our Engagement technology, Firms would like a customisable template and ease of storage and management with an inbuilt workflow and reminder system.
Alison – many firms are transitioning over to new Practice Management Systems. Please give our FeeSynergy team at least one month’s notice to allow us to coordinate the process to ensure a seamless transition with minimal disruption.
Karley – I’m finding firms are sick of having so many different systems or add ons to help them run a successful business and love the fact that they can now house everything in one suite. Debtor Management, Payments (including Fee Funding, Direct Debits and Card Payments) and Engagement Letters.
Alison – We’re seeing concerning trends in client credit scores, with Equifax scores declining month on month.
Now is the time to review your client portfolio and consider the potential risks.
- Are you monitoring changes in your clients’ credit profiles?
- Are you helping eligible clients explore refinancing options?
- Are you continuing to undertake work for clients who are struggling to pay?
- Do you have clear processes in place to manage credit risk and outstanding fees?
Early intervention can make a real difference — both for your clients and your firm. Ask us for a Demo on our Insights module.
Karley – Now is a great time to hone in on collections prior to the holiday period. Having a water tight process is indicative to having great cashflow before Christmas and the quiet period. Need more help to have better processes download our Debtor Management policy. (Great names for a syndicated racehorse “Debtor Management” “Cashflow”)
If you don’t have our Collect system in place jump on it now and get up and galloping before Christmas (might not be out the start gate before the Melbourne cup though)
If you have any questions please contact us directly – Don’t wait until the horse has bolted, we want you all to be winners with your business.
