In Australia, we facilitate AML/CTF required proof of identity checks under an agreement with Equifax Australia Information Services and Solutions Pty Limited (Equifax). The solution facilitates Equifax identity checks via an Equifax owned Application Programming Interface (API) incorporating Biometric authentication technology and Document Verification Service (DVS). Equifax is an Australian Government Attorney-General’s Dept approved DVS Gateway provider.
If you or your clients are required to provide proof of identity via the Equifax solution, the client will be asked (in accordance with APP requirements) to give their consent prior to the identity check process being performed. If they do not consent then the identity check will not proceed. The documents that will be used to perform biometric and DVS identity checks will usually be drivers licence or passports. When identity checks have been completed, the client’s personal information is redacted by Equifax. No client personal information is saved or stored in FeeSynergy’s systems.
