One of our long-standing and favourite client firms, Power Tynan have hit the big 50year mark! This award-winning firm is an industry leader and plays an important role in the Stanthorpe and Toowoomba communities.
“It’s been an incredible journey, and I feel privileged to have been a part of it” said CEO Amanda Kenafake.
“Over the years, we have had to change a lot to keep up in today’s fast-paced environment, but was has remained the same is our focus on our clients, and the relationships and friendships we have formed with them.”
Like so many businesses today, Power Tynan began as an individual with a vision. Peter Power opened a small office in the granite belt town of Stanthorpe in the late 1960s.
He was soon joined by Peter Tynan and, with skill and perspiration, they grew and expanded their practice.
The Toowoomba office opened with a single staff member in 1992, and now, across all offices, more than 50 people come to work at Power Tynan every day.
One such team member, Edna Hurtz, has been with the company for 47 years.
“Even after 47 years, I still enjoy coming to work every day,” said Edna.
“Over my time here, there have been a lot of changes, a lot of great people to work with, and many clients who were here when I started are still with us today.”
“These people are very special to me, and to the firm.”
While Power Tynan are known for their taxation and accounting expertise, the team offer a full range of services, including succession planning, business improvement, corporate advisory, financial planning, business intelligence and data analysis.
